VÚB Banka, as a sponsor of the Tatras-Danube Run, was looking for a way to help the flood-hit Tatra Mountains and to get runners involved as part of the race.
As the only thing that a runner can do in a race is run, we had to come up with some innovative mechanics – in this case, they would donate to the cause with their speed. The faster they ran a pre-determined section of the race, the more we would donate. Altogether, the campaign made a respectable EUR 5000.
